Checkers and Houston hip-hop legend, Slim Thug, kicked off the holiday season in festive style at the Checkers Santa Slim Holiday Party & Toy Drive, held Saturday at the Jones Road Checkers location. The celebration featured snowy photo moments, free haircuts, music, games, and prizes as families danced alongside The Grinch before lining up for the highly anticipated Santa Slim meet-and-greet. Guests joined Slim Thug in enjoying The Big Slim Meal, Slim Thug’s signature collaboration with Checkers, featuring the Texas Bacon Buford, Famous Seasoned Fries, and a drink served in an exclusive 44-oz collector cup. The high-energy crowd and building-wrapped meet-and-greet line made it clear that this was the place to be to kick off the holiday season!
The event also served as a successful toy drive benefiting BEAR (Be A Resource for CPS Kids), encouraging attendees to bring new, unwrapped toys to support local children in need. By the end of the celebration, over 200 toys were collected, filling several large boxes to the brim with gifts!
