“TEASH” | SHARING WHY TRANSPARENCY IS IMPORTANT

Some platforms are built for attention. Others are built for impact. Tea with Teash is doing both, but on its own terms.
In a media space where everyone is talking, Artesha “Teash” Fernandez has built a brand that knows how to listen, pull truth out of people, and turn everyday conversations into meaningful moments. What started as a natural love for storytelling has grown into a multi-layered platform that’s gaining recognition, expanding beyond its city, and stepping into national conversations.
This isn’t just a podcast. It’s a movement rooted in voice, visibility, and intention.

Teash has always been drawn to people. Their journeys, their decisions, their “tea.” That natural curiosity is what shaped Tea with Teash Podcast into what it is today. A Kansas City-based platform that highlights creatives, entrepreneurs, and entertainers who are serious about their craft.
Building a Platform with Purpose
But what makes the platform different isn’t just who she interviews. It’s how she shows up.
Transparency is woven into the DNA of the brand. Not as a trend, but as a standard. The conversations aren’t forced. They’re felt. Guests aren’t treated like content. They’re treated like people with stories that deserve to be heard the right way.
Your homegirl's favorite homegirl.
Podcasting has exploded in recent years. Everyone has a mic. Everyone has a platform. But Teash doesn’t see that as competition. She describes herself as "your homegirl's favorite homegirl". While continuing to create a safe space for those who may need a little more confidence to share their story, she has pushed through her own challenges with grace and positivity. No matter what, the message remains to be transparent.
Trusting the Timing
Oh my God, I feel like everything has changed because momentum is picking up. I'm still authentic. I'm still me. I still skip to the beat of my own drum. I don't pay attention to outside noise. I just do me.
In November, Teash will celebrate her two-year “Pod-versary,” a milestone that reflects her consistency and impact in the podcasting space. Over the past year, her work has been recognized in six magazine features, and she earned a nomination for Best Podcast of 2024 at the Kansas City People’s Choice Awards. On October 24, she will serve as a panelist for the “Leading with Value” discussion, marking the beginning of new ventures in media and public speaking.
She also has her eyes set on entrepreneurship beyond media, including launching her own tea shop. Now, with her children grown, she’s stepping fully into her purpose. She’s even considering relocating to a bigger media market like Atlanta or Texas to grow her network and opportunities. The tea isn’t just being served. It’s being transformed into something much bigger.

Creating Impact Through Conversation
I would definitely want them to know that this is a safe space judgment free zone. This is all about getting a person to feel comfortable, getting a person to feel seen.
Teash’s guest interviews have expanded beyond Kansas City, featuring nationally known figures such as Evelyn Bradley, Jennifer Fraser, and rising hip-hop star Slim Thug, along with celebrity hairstylist Jonathan Wright. This list also includes Jabari Banks, who plays the Iconic Character “Will Smith” from the Hit Series Belair on Peacock, and Nigeria Born London Raised Independent Artist Shae Universe. She has also welcomed notable Kansas City personalities, including media personality Christina Johnson, among others. These conversations reflect her commitment to bridging local artistry with broader entertainment culture.
The Tea with Teash Podcast is proof that when a brand is built on purpose, it doesn’t have to chase relevance. It creates it. Follow and support her movement on all of the social media platforms. Click the video below to view the cover story interview in its entirety.
