Each and every one of us has a dream, no matter how big or small, it is something that we truly want for ourselves; whether it is buying a new car, launching your own business, going back to school or getting a new job.
Any goal is achievable… you just have to be a goal-getter. Yes, a goal-getter! A goal-getter is kind of similar to a go-getter being that it is someone who works hard to succeed but a goal-getter focuses solely on accomplishing goals.
The steps are as followed:
Believe you can.
Visualize the goal. (vision board)
Seek like-minded individuals to help push you towards the goal.
Strategize a plan.
Go get it.
Step one is to believe you can do it. The only thing stopping you from your goal is you. All those excuses need to be thrown out the window ASAP. I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “It’s you versus you,” and that is especially true because if you hide behind those excuses and obstacles in your way you will never get to where you want to be.
Step two says visualize the goal. Put your goal in a constant line of vision, this way it serves as a motivator. So, if your goal is to buy a new car go print that car out and paste it next to your savings jar or on your mirror. If you want that new job go purchase the suit you’ll wear on interview day. The whole point of this is to bring optimism to the forefront and make you see that your goal is not that far out of your reach.
You are only as good as the company you keep. Just as step three says, seek like- minded individuals to help push you towards the goal. Build you a circle of people who support you and will put you in the right spot or direct you towards the right people. Surround yourself with positive people who have your best interest at heart.
Make a plan to go get it. By this time you should have already visualized the goal and got the proper people in your corner. Now, it’s all about execution and working your way to make your dream a reality. Go get it!
If you want it you will find a way to get it and that should be all the motivation you need.
